the Logans

Our 2024 Benefactors!

The logan's Story

In years past, our Polar Plunges have usually been for a person or family that has suffered a life-changing injury or had lost a relative unexpectedly. This year, that is true as well. Our recipients this year are held in very high regard and were an easy choice by our Committee.

We would like to introduce you to Lindsay and Nick Logan, they have three children, Rylin age 6, Ellie age 9, and Nicholas Jr. age eleven. Due to a devastating loss, in a heartfelt and admirable life decision, this mother and father have taken into their home the couple's four nephews and nieces. Kevin age 5, Paislynn age 9, Maston age 12, and Alanna age 18 are the children of Lindsay’s sister Jocelyn, who passed away suddenly in September. The Logan family went from five to nine in an instant. The loss of a mother is truly shattering and traumatic at any time, imagine how heartbreaking for these very young children. It's very tragic and extremely difficult to imagine what they are going through emotionally and beyond. By providing a stable and loving home to these four beautiful children of a recently passed mother, this sister and brother-in-law are doing something extremely honorable to most, but ultimately to them “the right thing to do”.

Lindsay is an Emergency Department Staff Scheduler and ED Tech at Lowell General Hospital. Nick is a Special Ed teacher at Lowell High School and the Head Wrestling Coach. He also works at Doughboys where youngsters, both male and female, come from far and wide to get great wrestling competition among talented peers. This pair is deeply respected in the Community as several people have approached us recommending them as the perfect candidates to be the benefactors of the 16th Annual 2024 Keefe Family Polar Plunge. Our Committee of Cookie Finn, Sandy Grimes, Billy Finn, Shaun Cremin, and Vicky & Ed McMahon couldn’t agree more. In this day and age where prices for just about everything are off the charts, none of us could imagine what it must be like to feed, clothe, insure, and support these children and their out-of-school hobbies. The financial ramifications of this selfless act are off the charts. However, those ramifications did not matter to Lindsay & Nick. What does matter is that they provide a loving warm home for the children of Jocelyn Coppola. The absolute right thing to do. Our Committee could not be more in awe of them. For that reason, we are going to work as hard as possible to take some financial pressure off of them and strive to give them a wonderful day on Saturday, March 9th at Seabrook, NH.  Our wish is to make a difference for this family, even for just one day. We hope all of you will join us.
